Guest scgreyhounds
Has anyone had any experience with Tri-Heart Plus (Ivermectin/Pyantel), a generic form of Heartguard? Vet is recommending as alternative for heartworm which is rampant in SC. Monthly chewable tablet like Heartguard. Understand it is less expensive than Heartguard; protects against roundworms and hookworms; and "repels" mosquitoes. Thanks! scgreyhounds@alltel.net
pabozem
I'd be interested in hearing about this too. My vet also recommended it to me recently. Quote Waiting at the bridge: Blaze, Rodney, Lady, Spice, Sarahlee, Callie and Baby
Hubcitypam
I've used it. It is far less expensive that Heartgard and has exactly the same ingredients (Ivermectin/Pyantel). Basically it is generic Heartgard but I don't think the repel mosquitos part holds water (and I don't see claims to such on their website). A vet friend of mine swears that Heartgard is the most overpriced drug in vet medicine. Edited June 10, 2008 by Hubcitypam
Guest ShelbyzMom
I use it with no problems
BootsyCollins
I use it. He doesn't have heartworm, so I guess it works.
