Guest EmilyAnne
Is it OK to feed Henry an extra meal per day while he gets used to increase in seizure med, or will this make it take longer for him to get used to the increase in seizure med? He's driving us a tad bonkers. Coonhound appetite + increase in seizure med= ACK! Seriously, if I dont give him the meal in the middle of the day, he WILL eat something and he is quite persistant. He'll eat lincoln logs, furniture, anything! He's not fat at the moment. Part of that is probably because he got a little under weight when he was sick a couple weeks ago. He is raw fed, and if I give him veggies, he tends to get green stool with some mucous.
TheFullHouse
I didn't give Saint an extra meal but I did increase the amount of his regular meals plus I added a couple of dog treats during the day. NevadasMom
How about more frequent smaller meals? Quote Carol-Glendale, AZ Trolley (Figsiza Trollyn) Nevada 1992-2008...always in my heart
Guest greyt2love
What Judy said ! Caesar won't sleep if he doesn't get a little extra. He roams all night looking for something to eat.
Guest EmilyAnne
Since Henry has gained his weight, I'll divide up his two meals into three meals, along with a small bedtime snack. Probably a second walk each day wouldn't hurt either. Burn calories and keep his mind off food. The weather is getting nicer and nicer around here. I know this will get better in a few weeks time. Thank you for all the replies!
