Devotion Posted March 10, 2008 Share Posted March 10, 2008 How can someone feel so blessed and so heartbroken at the same time? I am releasing Scooter tomorrow. He was dx with osteo 24 days ago. He has been tolerating his meds pretty well but I can tell the pain is worse. He has osteo in his left shoulder and is no longer bearing weight on his leg at all. Scoots would be 12 on April Fools. He came into my life 2 short years ago and I can not even put into words what this guy means to me. I have no regrets. we have lived each day to the fullest and he knows how I feel about him. When one owns another's soul you know. I know Scooter would keep going for a while longer for me. He has will power and the desire like I have never seen. If I keep him any longer it will be b/c I am weak and can't let go. I know if the roles were reversed he would give me the same and let me go with dignity and grace. Please pray for white light and a peaceful passing. I am so broken. He is such a true friend and a wonderful gift that I was lucky to have received. I hope Scooter lets you know that he's fine, and pain free. You both will stay in my prayers.
