Guest Pokey_GAPTAS
Hi all, My name is Maddy, I'm the co-ordinator for the Greyhound Adoption Program Tasmania and I have one Grey (but plenty of fosters to help fill in the spaces on the couch ). I've been the co-ordinator since mid 2007 and although it's been challenging (and sometimes very frustrating!) at times, I couldn't imagine doing anything else with my life. I adopted Kiff in early 2007 from GAP Victoria as GAP Tasmania was having some major management problems and I'd recieved no response to my applications after two months. Two days after Kiff arrived, I had a call from the (then) co-ordinator of GAP Tas saying they had a dog for me . I had to decline (because we'd only just gotten Kiff) but I offered to foster once Kiff had settled in. After a few months of fostering, the co-ordinator basically got sick of the job and offered it to me. As GAP Tasmania's only foster carer, I figured I should probably accept . Best decision I ever made! (other than adopting my grumpy but lovable Kiff)

Guest Pokey_GAPTAS
What a pretty girl! Kiff is a boy Tasmania is ok, not quite as beautiful as a lot of people think (we have quite a smog problem here in Launceston) but still a nice place to live.
