Guest MountainHounds Posted January 16, 2008 Share Posted January 16, 2008 One year ago on Monday I met my sweet Kavana. One year ago today I made it official, my home would be Kavana's forever home. Turns out that forever wasn't quite as long as I had hoped. In March, he was diagnosed with OS, and in July I had to make the heartbreaking decision to help him cross the bridge. Those seven months I had with him were priceless to me and I still miss him so much. I hate that he never had the chance for me to dress him in a humiliating costume for Halloween, that I never got to celebrate a single birthday or Christmas with him. But I did the only thing I could, which was to love him completely, wholly and without question for those few short months we got to spend together. Happy Gotcha day from across the bridge sweetie. I hope you are running and playing without pain and that there is an unlimited supply of dirty laundry hampers that you can plunder and steal from.
