FWIW ... I let Joseph wait 2 days for surgery. He wasn't in as bad shape as your girl sounds. Barium wouldn't've made a difference -- if there's something in there, they have to go in and get it. I know that now and in future wouldn't hesitate so.

ETA: On x-ray we could see there was something in Joseph's stomach. What I was told is, once they open him up, they're going to give his entire guts a good feel regardless of what the x-ray says. Which they did.

Could the upset from the bone also have caused sudden onset of pancreatitis? That is what happened to Alex when he ate the corn cobs. It made things a lot more complicated quickly but I am glad they have Jane on fluids and are keeping a close eye on the temp. How is she doing? Sending many thoughts and prayers.

Sending prayers. :hope

Greyhound angels at the bridge- Casey, Charlie, Maggie, Molly, Renie, Lucy & Teddy. Beagle angels Peanut and Charlie. And to all the 4 legged Bridge souls who have touched my heart, thank you. When a greyhound looks into you eyes it seems they touch your very soul.
