Barium wouldn't've made a difference -- if there's something in there, they have to go in and get it. I know that now and in future wouldn't hesitate so. ETA: On x-ray we could see there was something in Joseph's stomach. What I was told is, once they open him up, they're going to give his entire guts a good feel regardless of what the x-ray says. Which they did. That is what happened to Alex when he ate the corn cobs. It made things a lot more complicated quickly but I am glad they have Jane on fluids and are keeping a close eye on the temp.
