Guest msteele Posted January 8, 2008 Share Posted January 8, 2008 I've been on for a while, bit I can't recall whether or not I "properly" intorduced myself, and more importantly my man Cooper. Sadly, Cooper died in October; but on Saturday, Piet came to live with us! He is a big, black, 15 month old goofy boy who is learning the routine of a new (smaller) house without any dogs (he was fostered with 2 others). He's very different from our proud, dignified, sensitive old boy, but we think he'll be lots of fun. DH is working on a PhD in art history, and decided that Pete (Piet) reminds him of people in 16th century Dutch paintings because he is all black with a white chest, thus the Dutch spelling of Pete. There is another boy in the adoption group where Lexie came from who looks the same, too. We thought it would be fun to bring him home for her, but I don't think blind kitty could take it right now!
