MP_the4pack Posted January 5, 2008 Share Posted January 5, 2008 Brindle would have been 15 today. She went to the Bridge when she was 8. She was my first greyhound and as smart as a whip. She wasn't much for cuddling, but she was always by my side. And if I ever asked someone to hold her while a slipped away for a moment (like go into a store), she would stand and stare after me. Waiting. Waiting. She went suddenly. She was fine in the morning, gone that night. She went in for emergency surgery but when they opened her up, she was loaded with the big C. What a shock. Following her death, I had many many dreams about her. But in none of them did I remember she was gone. Finally, that memory did break through in a dream and I hugged her and told her I missed her.
