Cocktail (TM's Slim Queen) April 29, 1998 - August 19, 2007 due to osteo. Cocktail was my first greyhound and my heart pup. She will always be in my heart and memories. Gotcha Day with DH Doing what she did best, roaching The day we let her go Cowboy (TM's Venture) April 29, 2007 - October 27, 2007. I recently just came into contact with someone that had adopted Cocktail's full brother. Unfortunatly he is gone also due to osteo. We have suffered several losses ourselves this year but I have also cried for so many dogs & their people that I have never even met. The love that we share for these dogs ties us together and the losses are felt by all of us. We lost our beloved Joanie in July. Wyco Joni.........4/8/95 - 7/23/07 I helped my friends greyhound, Kerbey, to the Bridge in August while she was on vacation. We lost our beautiful Susie just a few weeks ago. Susan Walker.......5/2/96 - 12/11/07 This past Monday my parents lost their first greyhound, Lady. Lady was my introduction to the world of greyhounds. I thought my parents were crazy wanting to adopt a big "hyper" dog! I could not have been more wrong and I fell fast & hard. Lady went with me & picked out my first hound & my heart, Hunter. I am so grateful to her for bringing such joy into my life and I am grieving her loss along with my parents. Thank you for sharing them with me. I don't have a greyhound of my own yet, but your babies are all so special to me. I don't know why they leave us. I don't know why it's so hard. She was a sweet warm soul. I miss her everyday. Here she is on her Birthday we took her to her favorite place in the world. Vancouver Farmers Market. She loved walking there will all the stall and dogs and people who would love on her. I am glad i could give her that special day... rycezmom Posted December 28, 2007 Share Posted December 28, 2007 She came to us in November 2006 on the spur of the moment decision, sight unseen. A decision that brought such joy to our lives. She made herself instantly at home. She was with us such a short time but during that time she was loved and loved us well in more ways than I could ever imagine. She was sweet and wanted nothing more than to just cuddle on the couch. She was dignified in everything she did. She was tolerant of Gus and Bella and watched them with an amused expression on her face when they would act like silly hounds. In the ten months she was with us she settled in our hearts as if she had been here forever. I am blessed to have had this wonderful senior girlie hound come into my life. She made it better. Her journey to the bridge was gentle just as she was in life. I will truly miss her. She retired from racing at age 5. She was an active meet and greet dog for GAGR. She will be forever in my heart and painfully missed.
