Guest greytfulhounds
So many of us have suffered losses this year, both hounds & humans. Myself, I have lost 2 of my own hounds and helped a friends hound to the Bridge while she was on vacation this summer. I carry in my heart every day of my life those that are dear to me that have gone on before me, but at the holidays it seems that their memories shine even brigther in my heart. I had been reading another non-greyhound list I belong to and was reminded of this song and thought that it might bring comfort to all of us who are missing our loved ones this holiday season. Warren Zevon was fighting a battle with cancer. Before he passed, with the help of his son & other musician friends, he produced one last album called "The Wind" and this was one of the songs from that album. There is also a link below to a You Tube video with Warren performing this song. My prayers go out to everyone struggling with the loss of their loved ones this holiday and I pray for peace & happiness for all of us in the New Year! Sherry & the greytfulhounds.........Hunter, Kitty, Danny, Mystery, Jacob, Baby and Joanie & Susie waiting at the Bridge & always in my heart You Tube "Keep Me In Your Heart" video Keep Me In Your Heart by Warren Zevon and Jorge Calderon Shadows are falling and I'm running out of breath Keep me in your heart for awhile If I leave you it doesn't mean I love you any less Keep me in your heart for awhile When you get up in the morning and you see that crazy sun Keep me in your heart for awhile There's a train leaving nightly called when all is said and done Keep me in your heart for awhile Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la-li-li-lo Keep me in your heart for awhile Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la-li-li-lo Keep me in your heart for awhile Sometimes when you're doing simple things around the house Maybe you'll think of me and smile You know I'm tied to you like the buttons on your blouse Keep me in your heart for awhile Hold me in your thoughts, take me to your dreams Touch me as I fall into view When the winter comes keep the fires lit And I will be right next to you Engine driver's headed north to Pleasant Stream Keep me in your heart for awhile These wheels keep turning but they're running out of steam Keep me in your heart for awhile Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la-li-li-lo Keep me in your heart for awhile Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la-li-li-lo Keep me in your heart for awhile Keep me in your heart for awhile Joanie & Susie

Guest greytmonty
Thanks for posting that link. It is a beautiful song from a wonderful musician. I had the pleasure of meeting him when I was in college, and I saw him in concert five times. He was a great and fun artist! It is a beautiful song for those who have lost a loved one.
