Good thoughts for Princess. I was actually thinking of you today, as I took a class at the sewing store.

:paw We saw Princess tonight. She seems to have gotten her faculties back. The e-vet said she most likely had a stroke. It was not toxicity from the meds. More importantly they are worried a severely low albumin level. A sonogram or ultrasound revealed no visible cancer and her heart murmur is stable. The doctor also feels that her liver is good, but they ran tests. Now, we are waiting for other test results related to kidney function and gastrointestinal. The cardiologist will see her tomorrow too. If her levels go up, she will come home tomorrow. Thanks again for all of your good thoughts.

:sad1 Well, today her albumin was at an all time low of .9

Because of this, she can't come home. They are now going to do a biopsy to rule out cancer. Her liver and kidney are both fine. They are more leaning toward food allergies. The doctors are perplexed as to why her albumin keeps dropping. They also ruled out addison disease. Hope she comes home soon. When we saw Princess, she was excited and wanted to play. :)

Are all of her protein levels low too? I assume that they are going to biopsy the intestinal wall via endoscope to see if you are dealing with GI lymphoma verses IBD. They can give her an albumin transfusion to get her levels up. Did the Drs run a bile acids test to check the liver function? Once you get her stabilized you may want to take her to see an internal medicine specialist.

Feel free to PM me if you have any further questions maybe I can answer for you.

Oh, I just read that your located in NJ--I have some great Drs I could recommend to you if it comes to that. :P

:yay Everyones well wishes helped! Princess is home! The docs feel that it is IBD. We are still waiting for the biopsies though. She is on prednisone and pepcid with a strict diet. She came home and immediately went to sleep in her bed. Her albumin was at 1.4 today.
