Guest ss556
Alan has been taking Sentinel since I have him as a heartworm preventative. My vet charges $14.00 a pill. Does anyone use Sentinel and if so, how much and where do you get it from? Thanks:)
Guest Snazzy_Chloe
I paid $79 for 6 at the beginning of this year from my vet. This is $13.16 each -- so I am sure the price has done up some more in 10 months-possibly to the price you paid. I could buy on line - just have not gone that route yet as I only have one pup -
macoduck
I think for 12 pills we paid $124 online via our vet's pharmacy provider, VetCentric. That's up from $98 about 2 years ago, same online pharmacy. Guest suzye
Jazz has been on Sentinel for the last 7 years. The last vet sold 6 months worth for $115 -- highway robbery if you ask me! I order from entirelypets.com and get a prescription from the vet. Scan the Rx, email it with your order number, and that's it! 6 months worth for 51 lbs and up runs $60-something with shipping. Get on their list and you'll get a steady stream of coupons for $3 or so monthly. Every bit helps. The only bad thing I ever heard about ordering online is that "the drug company won't pay for heartworm treatment if your dog gets heartworms". I don't understand that, but whatever. Sentinel renders fleas sterile, too. In 7 years I've never seen a flea on Jazz or in my house. Edited November 1, 2007 by suzye
