macoduck
Gracie has been on Amoxicillin for her ruptured anal gland. and on Rimadyl (just a few days of that for pain). She has been eating well, however her poop has gotten runny. Could this be from the antibiotic? Can I give her some immodium each day until she's done with the course of Amoxicillin? Guest greytmonty
In my experience with Mr. Staph-Monty, YES. The antibiotics are hard on their tummies. Our vet didn't have us give much for it as it cleared up. Check with your vet re Immodium. I think part of it is the loss of their natural bacteria etc in their bowels, so yogurt probably helps. Guest Tenderhearts
Yes, antibiotics can definitely cause runny stools. Make sure your vet knows about this and see what he recommends.

Guest Ola
Yes, it definitely can cause loose stools because the good bacteria in the digestive system is usually affected by the antibiotic.
