heartdogs Posted August 23, 2007 Share Posted August 23, 2007 (edited) Yesterday I had to take my 12-1/2 yr old Honey & a foster, 3 Wishes to the vet & today I took Laura's girl Concerto in & all 3 girls are staying. Poor Wishes has no control of her legs, she looks like puppies do when they are just learning to walk, she is alert & doesn't act like she's in any pain. Today she wasn't any better but no worse either. The vet said as long as she doesn't get kidney problems she probably will be ok. Honey was terribly dehydrated & wouldn't eat & her abdomen was very tender. They put her on IVS & did blood work on her. She ate a little breakfast but is still under observation. Poor "Toto had a fever of 105 so she's staying too. When I got there this morning the vet had an emergency with a horse & her colt so was running behind and another woman that was in front of me got mad that she had to wait. I don't get mad when this happens because I have been the emergency person & am just glad the vet takes such good care of her clients. Poor Miss E is really missing Honey & Delight misses Concerto. When I fed Laura's dogs this evening Delight just gave me a very hurt look like it is my fault her buddie isn't there! Concerto is doing the best of the 3 but they just want to make sure her fever stays down before sending her home. All prayers & good wishes greatly appreciated for these senior girls.
