Hollis
They are both seniors, so we're going for blood work on the 25th. I've asked them about doing a tick panel at the same time. Regular bloodwork is $120 and the tick panel $100. They say its a full panel. Price sound right? The dentals are booked for the 31st. I wanted to get them done on a Friday so I would be home for the weekend. I, of course, have to work that weekend, but DP will be home. I would have done it later but, I'm also going to ask to get their nails done. I really feel between a rock and a hard place on this one. We're coming along with the dremel, but slowly. And we're headed to Dewey in 7 short weeks. (It will be 5 weeks after the teeth and toes.) I want them to be comfortable at Dewey so I want them to have time to heal from the toes. I'm hoping 5 weeks is enough. In any rate, if I want until I can be home for the weekend it would be only a week or 2 before Dewey and I dont think thats enough time. Am I doing the right thing timing wise? Can someone point me to the an-is-te-sha protocol so I can bring it with me? Is there anything else I should do, or not do? ACKK! I think I'm going to throw up! Quote My sweet angel Tanner-"Showoffs Magic" 79D-82695. DOB 7/22/99. Gotcha Day 6/20/05. Bridge Day 3/11/10. Big Beautiful Brave Angel Norm-"Showoffs Storm" 89B-83263. MarcR
My girls are eight, also (Nadia- 5/99, Honey and Kara - 6/99). All three have had dentals this year with no problems. They were a bit subdued the evening of the procedure but were their normal (well, normal for a greyhound ) selves by the next morning. I'm sure your guys will be fine, too. Guest Scouts_mom
My Tia is 12 next month. She had a dental and a skin tumor removed 2 weeks ago and she came through fine. If your vet is experienced with greys, I would not worry. The vast majority of greys do just fine. It's like driving to the grocery store--The vast majority of trips are fine and you don't worry about it, but yes, there is a small chance that another car will hit you.
