Guest david_42
Cougar has been losing weight with a big D. Two weeks ago, I took him in to the vet & got some meds and a bag of Prescription D/I. He ate about a cup of the D/I and went outside to puke. Did the meds for a week, gave up on the D/I. Still not doing well. Wednesday, I was restocking the medicine cabinet & thought, why not? So, I gave him a 4 cent chewable wrapped in a slice of turkey. End of problem! His appetite is back, diarrhea's gone. Next time, I try that first. Anyone want 9 pounds of expensive compost? Batmom
Take the food back to the vet! Any of the major vet food manufacturers should have a 100% guarantee, so everybody along the sales chain will be fully reimbursed. Funny what the ol' pink stuff'll do, eh? Somebody here on GT turned me onto the NONchewables, and I get those for the dogs now since they dissolve better. VinnieAndRexsMom
We have a gallon, yes gallon, of kaopectate from the vet. It's jut the kaylen and pectin guarenteed with none of the salicilli-stuff in it. Works like a dream. Chase is a champ getting it down, but Red will close his throat so it won't run down. We're working on that Edited August 5, 2007 by VinnieAndRexsMom Quote Tonya, mom to May, and my angels Vinnie, Rex, Red, Chase, and Jake.
