Medication Leftovers - Donation? - Part Ii

I just wnted to see if anyone had any resources on this.

I am planning on donating leftover medication after my grey's death and in a previous thread (now locked) a GT'er had questioned the legality of donation.

In all my research it appears that donation is legal as long as it is not a controlled substance, for example narcotics, and specific storage requirement medications (ie - frozen).

Most resources have specified however that medications cannot be re-sold and only donated to a non-profit organization.

Also the recipient organization takes on the risk that the medication has been sotred properly and non-contaminated (a risk many will nto take for obvious reasons).

Does anyone else have any knowledge or specific resources on this topic?

Previously, I had accepted and given donated meds to my Vet. A few years ago, she stopped doing it for "legal reasons".
