Alan's Trip To The Vet

Well his pannus got worse, so I'm glad I brought him for that. New drops - tacro- in addition to the old ones - pred. phosphate; soft poop, doing fecal, was due anyway, said it might be something (could be dietary since he's not eating right); Grade 1-2 heart murmur, not bad; bad breath that got worse could be from panting a lot more in warmer weather or all the meds he's one (said his teeth didn't look any worse and to brush them as often as I can);

and for the limp - well he twisted, bent, stretched, etc. and it was all ok, no muscle atrophy, but bent his toes on the right leg and Alan didn't move them for a bit; left leg with toes bent under, he fixed them immediately. Vet said could be arthritis, but could be neurological. He did have two mild seizures that we know of.

Any ideas/advice/suggestions are appreciated as well as keeping paws crossed for all the test results within the next two days.

Hi and thanks to those hugs! We can sure use them. Pannus is an auto-immune disorder which attacks the eyes. Without proper medication, an animal can go blind. Alan has had this condition for a couple of years already and was doing fine, but just recently, I guess, started to get worse. His eyes have been looking a bit funny to me, just not right and they are red quite often, so I had him checked. When his eyes bother him, he rubs them or squints a lot.
