Guest Cassiesfam
Hi. We found a toenail on the carpet tonight. Looking over Cassie's 18 toenails, they all seem to be there, but the dew claws are both sharper than I remember them. Do they shed these, like snake skin. They had been quite blunt and maybe a bit long. Both dew claws look smaller and sharper. Strange, huh? I dremmeled her claws after this discovery and none seem to be tender. Just wondered if you have any insight on this. Thanks. I haven't visited here in a while, though I have recommended this site for some wonderful ideas and input. This has been very helpful to our family and fun, too.
Guest chigal950
No they don't shed them. Could she have caught it on something and literally shaved a chunk off? Hubby or kids doing some trimming for you??
Guest RICHandJUDE
THe same thing happened in our household a couple weeks ago. I found a toe nail in my living room. I checked both my greyts and all their nails were intact. I then noticed that my male had a dew claw missing. He probably hit it on the deck when he was running into the house.
