Little Bummed With My Vet

I have a big white boy that I have been taking to the vet for months about a reoccuring ear infection. They have done cultures, topical meds, oral meds, the list goes on and on. They were finally suggesting ear surgery that was pretty radical and I was looking around for other options. Someone told me to try switching foods. I started him on fish and potato from Nature's Recipe and guess what. After a month with no meds, his ear is immaculant! It is not painful anymore and no discharge what so ever. Evidently it was a food allergy. I have to be careful with cookies and he really misses his rawhide, but no beef for him.

Guess I can chalk this one up to another reason I am switching vets....

That's one of those 'that would have been nice to know a hundred years ago' kind of things. You would think the vet would at least mention it!

I have one that is on a fish based diet due to allergies. Flint River Ranch has a Trout and Potato treat that all my dogs love. I order them from flintriver.com.
