She was the only sure thing in my life..when I came home..she'd bounce off the couch and bark at the others...The Fun Police...I miss her wiping her face on the sofa after she ate.. Her attempts to run around the yard in her stiff legged gait...her goofy looking ears..when she held them up..they both pointed the same direction as if to say.." They went thata way !!" Her creamy white face and big doe eyes...She never lost her sight or her hearing..you had to talk louder..but she could still hear you...She had the heart of a dog much younger...but the rest of her body just gave out..she's buried in the colt pasture..where the young ones run..under a big tree, on a hill overlooking the barn she loved to go to and terrorize the cats. I ride past her everyday checking horses and tell her I love her, and I hope she's giving the rest of the puppers at the bridge a run for their money..she was the greatest thing to ever come into my life. There's a hole in my heart I don't know will ever be filled...but I smile sometimes when I think of her funny looks she used to give..and I know she went to her grave knowing she was loved..
