Hello!

I will be picking up a 12 week old grey pup on March 30th.

I've had many dogs that I've grown up with but this will be my first grey (she's white & black, called Cosworth). I've heard that grey pups can be a bit of a nightmare so I'm figuring I might need a bit of support and to be able to ask questions of the experts here!

I'll be at home full time though and I'm ready for the ride so hopefully I'll be able to take whatever Cossie throws at me!! I'll appreciate any help you guys can give me though. Am looking forward to sharing thoughts (and maybe crises) with you guys!!

Cheers!!

Claire (Cossie's mom!) :)

How exciting! We adopted Raven at 6 weeks of age last March. We were prepared for a puppy, and it has been wonderful. Raven wasn't any worse than any other breed of puppy. Cosworth will require a lot of time and attention, but if you are ready for that, you probably won't have any problems. I would recommend enrolling her in obedience classes right away. Can't wait to see pics of your sweet girl!

I would love to post current pictures- but I just can't figure out how to do it!! I have tried to follow the instructions to no avail. Am clearly web-useless!!

This is Cossie's Greyhound-Data page:

http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?i=1336827

She has a picture there.

I am very excited about adopting her and so pleased to come across so many other passionate grey owners!

The best to you and your greys!! Clairex

Yeah I think so! I think I'm going to explode over the next nine weeks waiting for her!

I already have her booked into obedience classes starting when she is 16 weeks old.

I really want to do the best by her- any advice totally appreciated!

As I say I'd love to post my other photos of her (she has her eyes open now) but I just can't figure out how to get them up- darn it!!

oh what a cutie! 16 weeks should be the perfect time for class! That's when Dallas went. Be sure you have lots of good chew toys, otherwise she will find some herself. And some bitter apple or something bitter for your toes, she will be after them!

Cossiedog, beautiful puppy, looks kind of like my 2 white/black greyhounds

but mostly like my 3 year old female "Wafer".

Just to give you a possible glimpse into the future

Here's a picture of "Wafer" what do you think.

Here's my other pup "Law"

As far as posting pictures, I will attempt to help.

Go to PhotoBucket and register, it's free.

Once you post your pictures to photobucket you can copy and paste the "IMG Code" found on the

3rd line below the picture.

The IMG and /IMG in square brackets before and after the URL (pronounced "Earl")indicate what is contained between is the location of a picture you want to display.

The URL is the web address where your picture is stored.

When entering your post the URL of the picture will look like this

<IMG>http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/x123/xxx1/Picture003.jpg</IMG>

except that "<"s will be "["s and ">"s will be "]"s before and after the IMG and /IMG tags

Thank you for the photo help gst. I think I have it figured now, I managed to post some test pictures on Technical.

Wafer and Law are beautiful (and Wafer looks very fetching in that purple collar, if I might add)!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I'm going to see my pup next week so hopefully I'll have an update and some more pics B)
