Thank you to Hope & Sara for trying to help him and for giving him the love he so deserved...if only for a short time. At least he didn't die alone on the cold floor of the shelter. But thank God for the wonderful people who tried their best to make sure he knew he was safe and loved at the end. That gift was the most precious of all. I have a sweatshirt with The Greyhound's Prayer, which I have always loved, and Scrimage reminds me of that---"When I die, let it be as a pet, so that someone will remember me." I hope that he knows somehow that the prayer was answered. This precious boy who endured so much but was willing to forgive and to trust again, touched our hearts. Run free from pain, sweet Scrimage.
