Hi,

I've been randomly posting here and there (but always lurking) for awhile in preparation for the big day....today! We brought home our 1st greyhound today around 1pm. She's a 3yr old brindle and she's sooooo sweet. She just tackled the stairs....it was a little scary for her and now she's settled in her crate. The door is open but she likes it in there I think. And I think she is scared to go down the stairs now :lol These aren't the best pics but I hope they work:

These are her in the crate upstairs....I hope she isn't too scared to come back downstairs :unsure

We haven't named her yet. But I'll try and post more pics and her name another time.

How Cute. I have had my Dixie for almost of month. Can't imagine our lives without her. Welcome and good luck. I have noticed that everyday, Dixie reveals more of her personality to us and it's a joy to see. Kim and Dixie

Welcome to the wonderful world of Greyhounds, I believe once a Greyhound places their pawprints on our hearts and souls, we are never the same again, and it is all good. She is a beuaty. I love the brindles

Oh, she's pretty! I have a brindle boy that we adopted in June of this year. His 3rd birthday is next week. He has definitely stolen our hearts.

Where are you from? What was her racing name?

Have fun and enjoy!

We've named her Nikko (pronounced nee-koh)...she's not quite 3 but will be in march. Her racing name was Mesa Element and we adopted from the Southeastern Greyhound Club (really great people!). She's a sweetie!

She is lovely! You will have such joy with her.

Missing my sweet girl Scout. My snuggler, my chow-hound, my kissy girl.

She's so pretty! Best of luck with her. My first grey was a brindle girl who looked much like Nikko. (That was almost 15 years ago and my house hasn't been "greyhoundless" since!)

Congratulations :yay and Good Luck! We have an almost 4 year old brindle. She's a brat most of the time, but we love her so much. Keep us updated on how Nikko has settled in!
