Guest judechet Posted December 9, 2006 Share Posted December 9, 2006 Megan crossed the Bridge yesterday afternoon. She was 10 yrs 8 mo and was my beloved friend for over 7 and a half years. She was my first grey and the alpha of the pack. She and Kevin were soul mates for over 7 yrs and Kevin is taking it very hard. Please keep him and the rest of the pack in your prayers. I took Megan to the specialist yesterday for she had stopped eating and looked miserable. It was obvious she was suffering. The doctor could barely hear her heart beat for there was so much fluid surrounding the heart. She took Megan back to scope her and returned to say that Megan had more fluid now than she had in June. It would be best if I helped her cross the Bridge. The following may seem strange to some but it is me and it is part of my belief system. I find it therapeutic to mention it to those who may have similar beliefs. When I named Megan, I wanted to name her after the Blessed Virgin. I mistakenly thought Megan was Irish for Mary. Actually, I believe it is Margaret. Yesterday we Catholics celebrated the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. As I held Megan in my arms, I felt that Mary was with us in a special way. I told Megan that Mary was waiting for her and would see her safely to the other side. Then I let her go. I really believe that God holds all His creatures near and dear to Him. I hope that you & Kevin find peace in knowing that you were loved by Megan & that she is now free from any pain & running free! I truly believe that God put animals on this earth to keep us company, especially during times like this...when we feel alone & vulnerable. They protect us like no one ever can.
