and I can't tell you how excited I am. I've recently moved to San Antonio from Baltimore where I couldn't have a pet. I had been looking into greyhounds for quite a while, and as soon as I was in a situation where I could adopt, I found a great organization here (Heart of Texas Greyhounds) that helped me along every step of the way.

Not sure how much I'll post around here, but I'll be lurking a good bit.

Congrats on getting your first grey. Be careful though... they are highly addictive. Hubby and I adopted our first grey in April 22 and are scheduled to get our second on December 9.

OMG he's beautiful. Mother of a future Hokie, related by marriage to a ton of those crazed SOB's.

Missing my sweet girl Scout. My snuggler, my chow-hound, my kissy girl.
It never thunders at the Bridge, and your food bowl is ALWAYS filled.

So strange not living in Atty World. I was a love struck handmaiden to your every whim.

Best of luck to your future Hokie!

Welcome to the forum from another newbie. We have had Stretch for almost

2 weeks and I must tell you that our beautiful grey is a fast learner and has

a sweet temperament. Still working on stairs and the whining, but that's getting

a little better as well. He is adjusting very well and so are we. He is our first

grey and we are very glad we chose to adopt a grey. Hopefully you will have

the same experience. I have already seen so many positive feedback from

folks on here, so it will be a very valuable resource for info as well as a way

to meet really cool people.
