Got Out The Winter Coats This Morning...

It was in the 20's this am, so I pulled out the heavier winter coats for Tip & Chancy's morning walk. When I held Sissy's coat and saw all the beautiful silver fur still embedded in the fleece lining I just started crying.

I used to give her a little hug every time I put that coat on her, making sure it fit just perfectly. She always loved her coats & sweaters because they always meant a walk or car adventure. She would pogo and give me little kisses...

I still haven't washed Bailey's coat...I always want to be able to see those little black and grey hairs.

I know.

The other day, I pulled a sweater out - that I had packed up last year... and I found a "Shuby" hair on it. :( She is the lab-mix I had to put down this year.

I know how it feels. I still have Devotion's coat and collar and all the hairs and I swear sometimes I can still smell his wonderful smell. It's weird at times the missing is so intense. I guess that's what love does. They never really leave us. She was beautiful.

I'm so sorry, I can relate....I was just thinking yesterday of the boys and their matching monogrammed coats and that Jam wasn't going to be here to prance around in his in the mornings, just Ossie.

Your title made my eyes water....
