Guest MagicsMom Posted February 3, 2006 Share Posted February 3, 2006 Two friends of mine had to have their dog, Lucky, put to sleep on 1/31/06 due to illness. They weren't sure whether it was cancer or liver problems. Lucky was truly a rescue. 12 years ago, Danny found Lucky where he worked tied to the tracks, cleaned him up and took him home. They were together ever since. Danny's decision to put Lucky to sleep was very difficult for him. They spent Tuesday with him and took him to the vet that afternoon. He didn't like going to the vet but was very calm and peaceful when they took him. Danny held him when they gave him the injection and he simply fell asleep in Danny's arms. Lucky was a mixed breed. He looked like he might have some lab in him though. He was a sweetheart. When we had our small group Bible study at Patty's and Danny's house, Lucky would come say hello to everyone. I know Danny, Patty, and Anthony (their 4 year old son) will miss Lucky very much. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
