kickchick2000
. Oh dear I'm so sorry Heather. I said a prayer last night right before I went to bed for Dagger. I have to say, he could not have had a more loving foster home and more loving foster parents than you two. Many hugs to you and all those who tried so hard to save him. Guest jeannejj
Oh Heather! When I saw your post in Health, I couldn't even answer. I could only hope that dear Dagger would recover. Having just been through the same thing in August with my dear Mason, I held my breath and hoped that it would be different. It is so hard, and so unfair. That final act of love is so hard. I hope that in time the pain will be replaced with the joy of your memories. Peace to you. Run free, sweet Dagger. Play and run with Mason. Guest KennelMom
Thank you to everyone for all your prayers and support through all of this. I am so thankful to have GT and my adoption group in times like these. Because we can't bear the thought of such a wonderful hound like Dagger being 'unadopted', DH and I will be adopting him 'In Memoriam.' His ashes will come home to us. Ken put it best, saying: "I would like to remember him as a family member who had to leave early and not as a foster who never made it home. His listing should say "adopted", as they all should."
