Although I never met you I want you to know you were cherished and had a soft bed, lots of toys and treats as well the company of your littermate, Ruby and your sire, Eddie awaiting you. We had planned for you to leave your farm and arrive here on the October 22 haul but alas it was not to be. Godspeed, System Blak Pelt. The tears keep falling. It is strange that I was so deeply affected by the death of a greyhound I had never met. Interestingly, I attended races at the Tampa Greyhound track during the National Adoption Conference in September and thought about Blak Pelt because he won the 1999 Tampa Marathon. Ultimately it was because he was my Eddie's son who was also a stud and my Ruby's littermate. Incidently, Janet, Jet is Blak Pelt's nephew because Jet's mother was a littermate to both Ruby and Blak Pelt. I am now wondering what happened to her...
