I'm so sorry for your many losses and now a new one.  Hang on to your wonderful memories of your grandpa.  Darn emoticons are frozen.  Please imagine a hug and some beautiful flowers.

I never knew my grandfathers...they both died when I was very young. My father passed away in May & my world has not been the same since.

Grandfathers & fathers teach us so much....I learned so much from my dad & I loved his stories about WW2 and flying over the mountains in India...he relieved those days all the time.

My dad taught me so much about life & about people & because of him I am a better person. I can only imagine what I would be like had I known my grandfathers.

Thank you all for your condolences; I had an interesting experience yesterday; I was walking through a sporting goods store with my roommate and amongst all the requisite photos of big game and the mounted deer heads was a stunning photo of a heavy draft horse pulling a load. It was out of place there and instantly caught my eye; my Grandpa had been a farmer when younger and he loved those big horses. He had a book, entitled "Heavy Horses", with pictures of all the breeds. I remember looking through the pictures with him when I was a child. That photo was like a sign from him, I swear I would have bought it on the spot but it wasn't for sale. So I stayed and stared at it for a few moments and thought of my Grandpa...

I am so sorry. :candle:grouphug

Greyhound angels at the bridge- Casey, Charlie, Maggie, Molly, Renie, Lucy & Teddy. Beagle angels Peanut and Charlie. And to all the 4 legged Bridge souls who have touched my heart, thank you. When a greyhound looks into you eyes it seems they touch your very soul.

You know, daddys & grandfathers have a way about doing stuff like that. It's so ironic because my dad loved airplanes & I work for FedEx. If I had not been subjected to watching airplanes take off, I would not practically wreck my car in the afternoons leavng work while driving down the street watching the FedEx planes take off. Nor would I have run off the road watching the crop duster the other day on the way to the kennels.

THAT...seeing the draft horses...that was a sign from your grandfather, he was checking to see if you remembered what he loved most....and you came thru for him. Now...when I see a draft horse & there is one on the way home from work, I will think of you & your grandfather! And the Budweiser commercials...girl you're going to be thought about a lot!

Tears here right along with yours... All I can tell you is I KNOW Iberia came to Grandpa and told him yes you can leave your family and loved ones now and I,Iberia, will lead you to a BETTER place. Matt's special candle,Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, is still burning and I will remember Grandpa when I look at it.
