Goodbye Angel In The Skies

I just found this website last week (everything happens for a reason) and yesterday, out of the blue my first adopted grey (my first dog ever) was diagnosed with some sort of bone cancer. I had brought her in for a limp and I figured she had sprained or broken something and low and behold when they did the x-ray she did break the bone because the cancer had basically ate her bones away.

I let my first greyhound free to run with pain and your other greyhounds yesterday.

Her racing name was Angel in the Skies, and I called her Skye.

I needed this forum more than I ever realized at this point last week.

Run free my brave girl. Mommy loves you and always will!

Warmly,

I'm so sorry for your loss.  OS has taken way to many of our pups.

Run free, dear Skye......

Can you tell me what OS is? The vet explained it to me, but I heard nothing as I was just completely numb.

Thank you.

I found GT in my grief from losing my heartdog Chelsea to OS. YOu will find Gt immensely helpful in helping you through your grief and into recovery. I am so sorry you lost your beloved Angel in the Skye.

Missing my sweet girl Scout. My snuggler, my chow-hound, my kissy girl.
It never thunders at the Bridge, and your food bowl is ALWAYS filled.

So strange not living in Atty World. I was a love struck handmaiden to your every whim.

I am SO sorry. I had to have my beloved greyhound Pete put down in late June. Pete was my first dog ever. I had him for two wonderful lyears. You gave Skye a wonderful home and she knew you loved her. What you had to do was tough love.

Please do not blame yourself--you did the merciful and cmpassionate thing for Skye.

Godspeed Skye.

Nancy
