I remember when you walked in the door of the adoption kennel, i took one look at you and said Oh gosh he will be adopted right away. But it did not happen. Pokeno love to chase cats and was not to crazy about kids either. Pokeno was a fawn with black mixed in and he was so pretty. As the years went by Pokeno face got whiter but that is okay because my hair got whiter too. I remember the day we found the lump on your leg. Chills went thru me. Pokeno had a special person that cared about him very much. Julie paid for his surgery and sent very special gift boxes!!! Julie , pokeno loved them , and thank you for coming the other day to see Pokeno. I know you loved him girl. Oh gosh how i wish things would have worked out different. Pokeno crossed the rainbow bridge this morning. Dr B agreed it was time. It is always hard to let go of a friend, and that is what Pokeno was to me and the girls and Julie. Thank you Pokeno for giving us so much joy at the adoption kennel and you did. So many times we say "they never had a forever home..." but your home was there at MSGAO. From the volunteers like myself, Cynde, Cane, Julie to the ladies who keep ya'll fed, loved & clean...Ollie & Emily...to the big mom of them all, Jan. Everyone loves you. You are our "heart dog" forever...tonight there will be a brighter star in the sky, and the next time I see a rainbow...I will know who sent it to me. Don't worry...we will take care of Jan for you & we will hug Julie whenever we see her. You made all of us realize that life is too precious to just throw it away. Jan...you are loved by so many people & puppers...you do the very best you can & sometimes circumstances are stronger than we are. Don't EVER think you failed Pokeno...he got the very best care anyone of us could have given him. Those guys know they are loved all the time! You are their forever home!
