Guest musicalgal Posted July 13, 2005 Share Posted July 13, 2005 My parents had their oldest cat, O'Malley (called Malley to fit with the "M" theme they had going at the time) put to sleep yesterday. It's as if the last part of my childhood is gone - we got him as a kitten - our first non-stray - when I was 13, and he quickly became MY cat. He was truly the nicest cat you could ever meet. He never growled, hissed, bit, or scratched - until after I moved out on my own and brought home the "evil" Rylla cat for a visit. Anyway, I will miss him, and I hope he has gone on to a better place. It's so hard to cope with our pet's deaths, even when they have had a full life, but thank goodness for all the wonderful memories. A very cute kitten. Enjoying a sunbeam. Just relaxing.
