About a week ago, Lola presented with pinkish, itchy blotches from stem to stern. The vet gave her a shot of antihistamine and cortisone, sent us home with Temaril P and said that if after discontinuing the medication the condition returned we'd we discussing food allergies. This morning, Lola is once again pink, blotchy and itchy. Left voicemail for vet to discuss food allergies. Please talk to me about your itchy, blotchy, allergy pups so I have an idea what to expect.

Edge has been itchy since he adoption over a year ago. He doesn't seem crazy with it but itches from time to time and he chews around his back. We can pull little brown hard specks off that area but have seen no fleas. I have a cat that has no fleas and there are no bites on us. Would a flea bath help him? Is it another skin condition? Anyone know? Thanks.

Lately, Aston has been paying more attention than usual to his butt -- the past few weeks. At first, it looked like he was licking along the same path that he uses when he washes himself after a potty walk. However, he kept up with the frequency for some days, so I took him to the vet a week and a half ago. The vet expressed his anal glands, but they were fine; otherwise, she said that his flea meds might not be effective anymore (Advantix II). She said that rather than switching to a new med right away, I should use up the rest of what I have on hand, but give it more frequently than 1x/m
