Looking for house collar recommendations! I just noticed her house collar seems to rubbing her fur off. I love her collar (the color stops people from asking if she’s a boy as much, has a boomerang tag, and it’s reflective for our early am walks), but it seems even the collar part (not just tags) are rubbing. I believe in keeping a collar on her, just in case (and also per adoption papers that she wear a collar). Does anyone have a house collar that they love that doesn’t rub? Pink and/or reflective is a bonus! Also, it would be great if it would stay on when she bends her head down, even this one sometimes falls off, which defeats the purpose! IMG_4664

i wish i knew about these when felix was a puppy. jamie, our new addition came with this and it's WONDERFUL collar/lead set: http://fuzzywumpets.com/collars/ we have the micro plush terry lined martingale combo walking leash, this one to be exact (1.5")http://fuzzywumpets.com/1-5-blue-aztec/ and it's a great collar! they do make limited slip collars, but we have the martingale and LOVE IT! and i generally do not like nylon leashes. it's soft, doesn't slip and the padding is fantastic! if you dog does loose it's fur at the collar line the terry lined might be your answer. they do make the collars w/o leads as well.

Martingale Collars Full Fabric V. Half Chain

Hey Folks So many Black Friday sales on Etsy! I've noticed a lot of sellers that offer martingale collars only offer the kind with the chain in the back, rather than full fabric martingales. The internet is failing me on determining if there's a real difference between the full fabric and half chain collars. I don't hate the look of the half chain as long as the fabric is wide enough, but I'm disinclined to go with it because I worry about pinching the neck skin and maybe pulling too tight. And it seems like the half chain collars are most often used as corrective collars on dobermans, bully breeds, shepherds etc. I've never seen a greyhound with the half chain, but have actually seen several other sighthounds that wear the half chain style. Thoughts? -
