  7. you can try adding Amantadine! It ups the effectiveness of Gaba and the other meds such as Meloxicam. It got us almost 6 more months with our 13 YO Larry (back end went out). It might help. Sending hugs.
  8. Ducky, can you please add Rich Ingersoll's name to the list? He passed away unexpectedly on the 9th. He was the president/founder/driving force of The Greyhound Alliance (and Sunburst Kennels in FL) and a HUGE advocate of the greyhounds. GA has found homes for thousands of greyhounds all over the country for the past 11 years. Prior to that he was instrumental in finding homes for hounds from the WI tracks (we'd do GUR's almost every weekend from WI to groups in MI and IN for the greyhounds from Dairyland in Kenosha). He is survived by his wife Jerrie and many, many friends. I know he was greeted by thousands and thousands of greyhounds in Heaven thanks

  11. spotty belly! So cute! Congrats and welcome!
  12. I'm so sorry. Cancer has taken SOOOO way too many of our babies and loved ones
  13. same here. Rainey's and Nube's ashes are actually in my kitchen (sealed of course!) with the collars they were wearing when we let them go. Larry and Zeke sit next to me on the side table right next to me here in the living room, also with their collars and the nice pawprints that the Evet had done ( I can even see Larry's corn impression in his ) on top of each urn. Our first 3 (non-greyhounds) are also in the living room not 10' from Larry and Zeke. I spend 99% of my time in these two rooms so they all are very close. I agree, if it bothers anyone that's their problem. I want them close to me.
  14. sending TONS of hugs, good thoughts and prayers for Punkin. Sounds like she is in good hands, but dentals or any procedure when under is worrying. I know she'll be ok!
  15. glad he ate better! I too know how hard, frustrating and saddening it is to have a picky? non? weird? who knows what to call eater. Our Zeke ate like a champ (soaked kibble with assorted goodies on top, pumpkin, yogurt, shaky cheese, etc.) to up and sudden not wanting to eat overnight. I spent 3.5 years trying to get him to eat whatever I could get him to eat and spending HOURS every week cutting up various meats (raw) and cooking some with various degrees of success day to day. It was so frustrating...when he did eat it was like winning the lottery. I hope Jeter keeps eating well! Sending hugs
