  1. Oh no! Poor Blossie. My Aunt's girl had several toes removed. Never caused her any problems. I'll talk to my Aunt see if I can get more information. Fell better soon Blossie, we miss you!
  2. Carolina's nose looks the same way. We skipped the biopsy, it was a given it's an autoimmune issue and controlling the symptoms uses the same medication. Carolina is on niacinimide. It's worse for her in cold weather.
  3. Judy, Mike and Kevin I'm so sorry. Jilly Bean will be greatly missed by all who got to know her through your posts. God speed Jilly Bean.
  4. I was glad to see you back Mary Jo, but I'm so sorry it is under these circumstances. Spoil Spud rotten and take lots of pictures. Hang in there. Thinking about you.
  5. I think the package says two days. When they are dry to the touch I take a damp paper towel and go over their back with it to wipe off the dry and crusty stuff.
  6. Ditto. The vet said it has something to do with the beef flavor additive they put in it.
  7. I'm sorry Judy, Mike and Kevin. Saint was a special boy and will be missed. Run free Saint.
  8. I'm so sorry Judy, Mike and Kevin. She knew how much she was loved and that's all that matters. Godspeed Gee
  9. Lupus, Pemphigus whatever the case maybe, they are both autoimmune diseases. There is no cure you can only control the flare ups. Pred works for some but not for all. Niacinamide is often used as well. It will probably take a bit of trial and error to see what helps with Pop's flare ups.
  10. Niacin is not the same as niacinimide. Carolina takes niacinimide for pemphigus. It really helps her.
  11. Jake didn't have any swelling either. Better to be on the safe side and check with your vet.
  12. Bev and Marc, I'm so sorry. Godspeed Poppy and Tetley. Together again forever.
  13. Oh geeez. I'm so sorry Bev and marc. Godspeed Tetley.
  14. I'm so sorry Pat. Run pain free Zeus.
  15. Hi Kevin, it's nice to see you here! Love all of your prints. Candice
  16. I'm so sorry Bev and Marc. Run free Mokka.
  17. I have always had such a hard time find the unflavored tabs to begin with. Carolina and Jake don't handle the flavored one's very well.
  18. Carolina has the same nose issue. Steroids are hit or miss with autoimmune. They were a miss for Carolina. She gets 500mg of niacinimide. You can get niacinimide at any health food store.
  19. No experience with a broken tail but I do have experience with tail amputation. Jake got his tail stuck in a cabinet door handle. Had the wound stitched closed but he wasn't given any antibiotics and he developed a major infection and had to have part of his tail removed. Jake only needed pain meds for two days after his amputation and stitches came out in two weeks. He healed up really well, no problems at all. Just keep it clean and dry and make sure she doesn't chew at the stitches.
