I know this is going to sound far out, but I have read several times that the best stuff is spider web. Go to the least cleaned part of your basement or shed, your plants, whatever opportunity there is. As we all know from encountering webs by accident, they are very sticky and light.

Some herbs are not safe if there is already liver damage. I know milk thistle is supposed to support the liver and may not be in that category, but it would be worth finding out from an alt med vet if you have access to one.

I agree. My Rickie had a very complex extraction last year (it was done by a board certified dental specialist) and the cost was in the range of $500 for one tooth (a large molar, the roots were hooked, near the blood supply, etc., it was a long and tricky job). I was very glad she was doing the work, rather than a general practitioner. That said, I agree that xrays are a must beforehand, and, if it looks like a difficult extraction, I'd look into having a specialist do it. If it looks straightforward, then up to you. JMO.

What group did you adopt from? Perhaps they could help by either taking her to their vet or recommending one to you. Please look into that and let us know the outcome.
