Hi everyone I have been a member for a long time. 5yrs ago I lost my grey Rue and since then I haven't had another nor was I able to. I’m 100%. Ready for the right one. I prefer a senior but really a laid back kid, cat and dog friendly is what I am looking for. Color is not a concern! Also special needs is not a concern either! She me your adoptables!

Yesterday my baby girl received her angel wings. My place is so empty without her, she has been my constant companion for over 10yrs. My heart is broken missing her but I know her spirit is free to soar.

I have had her since she was 18 months, she had stages where she got into trouble so i decided to just continue her crating, she has always crated well so it was never an issue after a few of her escapades. She will go to her crate to sleep on her own and she goes right to her crate when requested. Now however she has bent up her crate and barks off and on through out day. I have 2 other dogs 1 crated and 1 not that are with her everyday. I am just a bit taken by her newest issue with the crate and wonder what brought it on all of the sudden.

Rue is now 9yr old and has always been crated with no issues. I noticed recently that she has been digging at her crate to get out and barking while were are gone. Could she be developing some SA?

Rue did not have any "quirks" at first however, over the years they have developed in buckets. Eating quirks, will eat anything! poop, trash from cans, learned to open cabinets, has started to steal from the counters or anywhere for that matter. Whiner traits: she wines when you have something she wants, when either the cats or another dog is in a bed she wants, when she wants a toy another dog has, when she wants in bed with us and she thinks there are too many already in bed (cats),when she thinks she should go somewhere anywhere at any time of the day or night, when she is in the car going somewhere anywhere at any time of the said day or night, or just to hear herself whine. Potty issues: Always has to be pushed to go out at night, in the morning, at lunch. She will willingly go out at anytime unless it is nighttime or daytime, raining, cold, hot, windy, calm, cloudy, snowing, bright or any other reason she can find. Potty breaks are at her complete discretion. She does not potty in the house unless she has the big "D" 3 floors of tile, wood or concrete and she finds the only room left in the house with carpet to dump on when I have left the gate open to it by mistake! Sleeping issues: Has become a nester and must be blocked from our bedroom when not at home, sleeps on DBF's pillow, sleeps between us, on top of us, under the covers with us, must be very very close to us, correction DBF. She fakes injuries when it will get her more attention at anytime. The list could go on and on but I love her to pieces and would not trade my Mental Maniac girl for the world.

Aw crap it's a corn. Thank you very very much I will call the vet on Tuesday.

I just did Rue's toenails and I found something on the bottom of her back foot in the middle of one of her pads. I think it is a corn but I am not sure. I have never had this issue before. I have had a crazy schedule this month and it has been 3 weeks since the last time I did her nails normally it is weekly and just for this reason. It is in the shape of a "C" and smaller than a dime but is raised out of the bottom of the pad. It is not broken open nor does it seem to bother her when I inspected it. Does this sound like a corn? If it is a corn what can be done with it? Any help would be appreciated.

You have brought so much love and joy to my life I don't know what I will do without you. I know keeping your spirit bound to this earth any longer would have been selfish. They say time heals all wounds but I know I will always have a piece of my heart missing with you gone. I know you are in a better place where pain and old age no longer exist, you are young and happy again. You were and are my heart dog. I helped Bentley cross over the bridge today 17 days short of his 19th birthday. I thank god for every day I had with you. God speed my angel run free I love you and miss you so much already.

I am looking for belly bands, I need them for a non-grey.

12 days ago Rue went in to have her tail amputated I called the vet again on Monday because it just was not healing the way it should have been. DBF took her in today her appt was at 1pm by 1:45 the vet had her in surgery to remove the rest of her tail. They are keeping her until Friday. He was to take it all of the first time and he decided to only take 4 1/2". So here we are again having to put her through this all over again because he decided not to do it the first time. That issue is another rant that belongs in soapbox. I feel so guilty for having to have her go thru this 2 times in less than 2 weeks.
