  1. Welcome home Petunia. She has the loveliest eyes and facial expression. This beauty looks like she is already quite at home. I look forward to seeing more photos. Congratulations!
  2. I agree with all of the above. An old soft tissue injury can have a flare up from running or zooming around. In addition to looking for corns on the pad, you could check between the toes. Our Zeke would get small cysts or infections that caused him to limp. Antibiotics took care of the issues. A limp can have so many different causes that respond well to treatment. Good luck with your new girl. Please keep us posted on how she is doing.

    Mazy

I am so sorry for your loss. Mazy was a beautiful and very sweet girl. It is heartbreaking to do everything possible to save a beloved dog and you cannot cure them. And your girl was so young. In her years with you she was supremely happy and content. Mazy knew she was in her forever home and was loved dearly. Rest well sweet girl. You will be deeply missed.
  4. Jan, this is so heartbreaking to see. Trevor, with his beautiful soft face and sweet eyes, will be dearly missed. He was truly a gentle soul who gave his heart to you on the day you brought him home. He was loved, content and happy which every wonderful photo of him showed. I am so sorry he had to leave. Rest well sweet Trevor. You will always be remembered.
  5. Jeff, thank you so much. It's cleared! So nice to be able to see Greytalk again.
  6. We are unable to access Greytalk from any of our computers at home. I can gain access in locations away from home. We have had no success taking all the steps to find a solution. Our problem is similar to a thread in Technical Questions posted on May 25th 2017. Same 503 service temporarily unavailable message. You were able to solve the issue using their IP address. This is my IP address for the computer I use at home that shows the 503 error. 73.61.79.184 Jan 5rooooers can email any information you post to me as I cant access it from home. Thanks for any help you can give. I miss Greytalk.
  7. Kyle, I am so sorry for your loss. Stewie made a very special connection with you. It is heartbreaking when a much loved dog leaves far too early. Rest well sweet Stewie.
  8. Mary, I just read this thread from beginning to end. What an ordeal for you and Jeff. My stomach was in knots but as I came to the last posts I was so happy to see that Jeff was home, the antibiotic was working and he is eating again. You have been on my mind and I have been hoping for this good news. All my good wishes and thoughts for you both that he has permanently turned the corner and will recover quickly.
  9. I am so sorry you have lost your sweet girl. Your photos show a very happy, contented pup who knew how much you loved her. We have lost a number of greyhounds and there is always that feeling of shock and guilt. "What did I miss, what could I have done to help her......" It's normal to feel this way. In time you will come to remember all the beautiful moments with Raffle. When we have lost a dog, I make a list of all the special things we did together, my favorite moments with them or the little habits that endeared them to me. Taking my little "diary" out over time brings back all those special memories and can be very comforting. You clearly had a wonderful relationship with Raffle. Remember all those good times. She always knew that you loved her. Rest well Sweet Raffle
  10. Paddy was a very special boy. He came to you bursting with life and energy. Sometimes he was good, sometimes he was bad but that is what made him a one-of-a- kind soul. One thing that was always constant was his love for you and his happiness living at CG. Paddy Mayhem - always missed and never forgotten!
  11. I am so sorry you have lost Wally. I remember when you brought him home. He was such a sweet and special boy. It's so painful to say goodbye to a dear friend. I hope your memories of all the lovely times with him will ease your heart. Rest well beautiful boy!
  12. Jan, I am so sorry Bruno had to leave. Although his time with you was far too short, he found companionship and gentle, compassionate care at CG. Your tribute to him shows a lovely spirit who is now reunited with Bosco.
  13. I am so sorry you have lost Joey. Your family has endured so many losses. To lose your two special boys so close is heartbreaking. My heart goes out to you at this time of grief. Rest well sweet Joey.
  14. Jan, I'm so sorry Bosco had to leave. You captured his brave spirit so well in your tribute. In spite of his failing health, he found contentment and happiness in his days at Camp Greyhound. Sun bathing with the Campers, walks to Seamie's Lane, singing to you - lovely moments of Bosco you will always remember. Rest well sweet boy - you will be deeply missed.
  15. I am so sorry for your loss. Sammie has that lovely, sweet face that is unforgettable. Rest well beautiful boy!
  16. Reading this thread has brought back lots of memories. We were in your position at this time two years ago with a 10 week yellow lab named Finley. It can be overwhelming and very tiring with those "what was I thinking moments". We still have clothing with tiny holes from the sharp, shark like puppy teeth. The good news is that it does indeed get better as your puppy grows. Zeke, our big male greyhound, would run to jump on the couch so he was out of reach of Finley for the first week or two. They became bonded buddies soon after that with Finley tucking himself on the dog bed next to Zeke. I am sure Ruby will be more comfortable with Cleo over time. You will notice the big steps forward as Cleo grows. Milestones appear at 5-7 months, one year and especially two years. As she grows you will find that wonderful bond solidifying and have memories of all those special puppy moments (such as your nap with her tucked against you). Kongs, squeaky balls, Nylabones and various indestructible (in theory) puppy toys were very helpful. Puppy class was a lifesaver with all kinds of great advice plus playtime for 5 very active puppies of the same age. Fun to watch and everyone brought a very tired puppy home after class. The puppy years have ups and downs but the reward at the end is worth it. Finley has become my best friend and shadow. I am sure Cleo is on her way to holding this spot with you as well. Best of luck with your adorable puppy.
  17. Welcome from Maine! Sage is absolutely gorgeous. He has such an adorable face. Looking forward to seeing many more photos of your sweet boy.
  18. Gigi was such a special girl. I am so sorry for your loss. Rest well sweet Gigi.
  19. I've been checking in each day to see how Peggy is feeling. You are doing a terrific job of taking care of her. In our experience with dogs that have been ill, they sometimes recover in "baby steps". Each improvement is good. Each meal eaten, no matter how big or small, is a good sign. She is drinking water which will help to keep her hydrated. Hopefully Peggy's system is healing and before too long she will be back to normal. Good thoughts and wishes to you and Peggy for continued improvements!
  20. Happy Bridge Birthday Paddy! Just as you had the most beautiful eyes and coloring, your personality stood out as a unique and unstoppable force of nature. You will be long remembered as the one and only Paddy Mayhem. Birthday Cheers beautiful boy!
  21. Kyle, I am so sorry for your loss. Who could resist that adorable face. Your connection with Angie was beautiful and heartwarming. What a loving and touching tribute to a very special pup. Rest well sweet Angie.
  22. I am so sorry for your loss. Stan was an amazing dog. He was an elegant and loving greyhound with the most beautiful, soulful eyes. Your best friend, forever in your heart. Rest well sweet Stan.
  23. Jan, I am so sorry Paddy has left you so suddenly. You have written a beautiful tribute to your boy. He adored living at Camp Greyhound and found all kinds of "fun things" to do keep your life exciting. At CG he was blessed with wonderful companions, an understanding mom and the best home possible to accommodate his larger than life personality. There are so many postings of your walks on the canal, down Seamie's road, the rides in the car, visits to the pet store, basking in the sunshine, and the classes you found for him that were perfect for his talents. He was where he should be - with you at Camp Greyhound. A part of him will always be with you. Paddy - So young, so energetic, so loved. My friend, my heart breaks with yours on your loss. Rest well sweet boy. You will always be remembered.
  24. I am so sorry to see your loss of Taylor. You both fought a heroic battle. In spite of the illness, he always seemed content and happy in your care. My heart goes out to you and Face. Rest well Taylor.
  25. I'm glad that June is home and doing better. She may need another week or so to totally recover. Our Hobbes had Vestibular Disease exhibiting the same symptoms as June. Although he was on his feet again within a day, he was a little wobbly for a week to ten days. Then he seemed to bounce back to normal as his legs got stronger. The snow, I am sure, isn't making it easier for June. Good luck and best wishes for her total recovery.
