  3. My mom is a bit late at posting these pics. She's been rather busy trying to catch up on orders and stuff. Thank you so much for the wonderful package!!! Wow! Lots of goodies. This is me in my jingle collar - I drove daddy nuts for a while but mom thought it was cute! See how pretty I sit! Dad was just taking forever unwrapping my treat! I was a good boy and shared with my sister. Geez you'd think we never got any treats before by the way we look. LOL I got one opened! What's in here? Oh boy! Another one! Mom just loves her picture. Thank you so much!! I hope you had a very Merry Christmas. Have a Happy New Year Scritches Dante!

  11. Tricia I'm in shock! How very, very sad. Finnula may have been with you only a short time but you showed her love and gave her a wonderful home. They do get into our hearts very quickly so it doesn't matter how short a time you had her it hurts terribly. Hugs to you and Finnegan. Run Free Baby Girl Liz

Cara-Lea, I'm so sorry to read this. My Earl and a friends little black pekinese, Ebony on Friday and now your Quinnie. I know the pain. Remember your good times with Quinn. Run Free Quinn Hugs, Liz
  15. Our beautiful boy is gone to the bridge. Thank you everyone for your prayers. Larry and I were with him touching him and telling him how much we love him and will miss him. Run Free my Angel
  16. There has been no change. We were able to get him to eat pieces of chicken with his pills in it but as of this morning he won't even eat that. I can see the weight loss as he hasn't really eaten anything for the last 5 days other than a bit of kibble hand fed. It doesn't look good for my baby. Larry and I thank you all for your kind words. Liz & Larry
  17. The chiropractor took x-rays today - he has 3 bad discs in his spine. She gave us some meds for him and wants to see him Friday. If there is no improvement she thinks we should consider letting him go to the bridge. Many of you know of Dr. St. Pierre's qualifications and expertise. I'm praying for a miracle.
  18. Will my life ever be normal or stress free again? First my daughter, always my daughter, then Nimby and now Earl. Earl has been having some issues the last 2 weeks and he is getting worse. He has been to the vets, been put on prednisone - it's not working and he can't even get up to go to the bathroom now. He is going to a chiropractor tomorrow. Please pray that there is something neurological that can be fixed. Please pray for my big golden eyed boy that he'll be okay. He adopted us June 25, 1999 when he was three. Thank you. Liz
  19. How very sad. A similar accident happened on our K-9 force. The difference is the police dog was left in the car with the air-conditioning on and sometime before the handler came back to the car the air conditioning broke down. It was truly devistating for everyone. Run Free Sweet Bandit
  20. I have been trying to follow your posts. I'm so sorry to read about your baby girl. Another grey-angel to watch over you. Run Free sweet baby. Liz

    Oscar

Mare, my heart is breaking for you. I will miss Oscars little updates so much. I am sorry I never got to meet him. There was something about him that drew me to him. I'm glad you decided to do a book of his diary entries. I will miss you Oscar, you stole my heart and brightened many of my days without even meeting. Hugs to you Marijke and all of your family. PM is you'd like to talk or see you on MSN. Liz
  22. Nimby is on NovoPrednisone (steroidal anit-inflammatory). Dr. Becker is doing bloodwork to rule out her eating anything she shouldn't have (which she does all the time) and if that comes back negative and the steroids don't help she will have an MRI she woke up at 1:15 and walked (if you can call it that) to her bed - I slept , ha ha, downstairs with her and the boys last night. She did walk to her water bowl and she walked up the stairs from the living room to the front door - I took her out to pee but she isn't walking well at all and is very wobbly. Then she started to slip down again. she stopped drooling around 11 last night and started growling at the other dogs so we knew she was coming around a bit We are grey-sitting 3 greys until this afternoon
  23. Thank you everyone. Nimby got up at 1:15 and is still very, very unsteady. We did get her outside to pee and we are off to the vets in the next few minutes. She is still trying to be the feisty little girl and even managed to do a small flight of stairs when I came up. She does a few step very wobbly and then stops and tries to get her balance. I'll update everyone when we get back from the vets. Thank you for all your prayers. Liz, Larry, Earl and Nimby
  24. I just had the scare of my life! I was putting the food down for Earl & Nimby and couldn't figure out why Nimby wasn't coming to her dish. I came out of the room and saw her very unsteady on her feet - I ran to her and she couldn't walk. She went down in a squat and while in that position peed on the carpet. We couldn't get her up but got her to lie down. We brought her home 7 years ago at age 3 and since then she would shake in the hind quarters, sometimes one side, sometimes both after a run or extra long walk, and when she gets excited. It has been getting more frequent and lasting longer. When she went down today her right front paw was straight and stiff. We have her resting now and will take her to the vet in the morning. Any ideas of what happened - neurological? We always felt she may have been injured before we got her. Please pray for my velcro baby that she will be fine. Thanks Liz
  25. Buster is beautiful! I hope he enjoys his 'spa day'. Liz
