  2. Carolyn, I'm so very sorry. It hurts when they leave us so suddenly. Hugs to you and your family and a special hug to little Faith. What a wise little girl she is. Hugs, Liz
  3. Tina, Nimby & Earl were there to meet Tilt. I know that for sure. They both knew how special he was to me. He was met by many wonderful puppers to be sure. Tears are flowing for Tilt, you and Eric and the rest of your pack because I loved him so much. He was a very special, loving greyhound who immediately captured my heart. I miss you Tilt! Run Free sweet boy. Liz
  4. It is a very sad week here. It was a year ago today we helped our big boy Earl cross the bridge. We miss him everyday. And just 2 days ago Nimby went to join him. Mommy and Daddy and miss the both of you.
  5. I have posted a tribute to Nimby in Remembrance. Thank you so much everyone. Liz
  6. Nimby went to the bridge today at 5:00pm. She had problems since November and on Tuesday it all came to a head. She never got up again. Cancer, the dreaded disease that took my daughter has now taken my baby girl. Lymphoma. She went peacefully with Me, Larry, Christopher and Madison by her side. Nimby, You were Mommy's Baby Girl and Daddy's PeePee Queen. And Andrews' Nimby Dog. We brought you home to be with us June 10, 2008. You were a feisty little thing and you let Earl know immediately that inside you were the boss but outside he was your leader and your protector. You were Mommy's model, begrudgingly I might add You were cute as a bunny in your picture to cheer Geniene up in hospital at Easter You loved car rides and your trips to Dewey And now my Baby Girl you are at the bridge with your brother Earl. Mommy and Daddy's hearts are broken, we miss you terribly. The house seems empty and I think, yes, even Dante is missing you. Run Free my Baby Girl. We love you and miss you. Mommy, Daddy, Chris and Madison Nimby & Earl together again
  7. Nimby went to the bridge at 5:00 pm to join her brother Earl. I will post in Remembrance later. I miss my Baby Girl
  8. Marijke, I'm so sorry. Dee was a real sweetheart. When I helped with her transport I was ready to dog-nap her. You gave her a wonderful home. Hugs to your family.
  9. Thank you everyone. We just got back from OVC (10:30pm). Nimby is there for the night. She has had 2 bags of fluids and they were hooking up another when we left. The vet feels there may be a tumor and it is in her head. He thinks this because her one eye is pro-lapsed. He doesn't feel it is a stroke because it has been a 'progressive'. He does know she is in no pain. Tomorrow morning a neurologist will examine her and then depending on his/her results Nimby will probably have an MRI. It feels so strange here without her. She has never been away overnight anywhere without us. I will update you tomorrow when I hear any news. Thanks again for your prayers. Liz
  10. I have another grey owner who is going to help me with Nimby and take us to the vets at 4:30. Thank you all for your prayers. She needs them badly.
  11. Without going into detail, cause I'm just worn out, Nimby has had another of her issues and is not doing well at all. She went down on Tuesday evening and has not gotten back up, I also think she is having mini seizures on top of everything else. With Larry having to take so much time off when Geniene was ill and passed I told him to go to work. I am trying to find some muscle to help me get her to the vet. I don't think my baby girl will be coming home with me. Please pray for her. Thank you once again. Liz _________________

  14. Beth, I'm just seeing this now. I am so very sorry. Chorney is a beautiful Lady. Such a friendly, gentle soul. Your family is in my thoughts today. My heart is aching for all of you. Hugs to your daughter and Gerald. Such a hard thing to do. If you need to talk you know where I am. Liz
  15. Patricia, I bet Angel Sophia is having a big birthday bash at the bridge. Running and playing with all the hounds. Happy Birthday Angel. Liz
  16. Please see my post and update here in Health and Medical regarding Nimby. http://forum.greytalk.com/index.php?showto...40&start=40 She has wobbles and shakes and weekness in her hind end too, may not be the same but the meds certainly do help her. The vet thinks it is also neurological.
  17. Hi Guys. Sorry for not updating sooner. Nimby came home on Friday evening. The vet feels it is neurological as the x-ray and blood test showed nothing. Yeah!!!! Last time she had an 'episode' similar he gave her Novo Prednisone and we are trying it again. She was still very unsteady on her feet so we baby-gated her in the dining room for the weekend (she can see in kitchen and full living room so she didn't feel alone) and she is slowly returning to her old self. As a matter of fact when I arrived home from dropping the kids off at school this morning, there she standing at the stairs with her stuffy in her mouth and her tail wagging madly. Just as she always does! She and Dante got some extra treats. Thanks so much for your concern and good thoughts. Liz
  18. Yes Diane, she did come from the States. New Hampshire. We have had her for 9 years. Liz
  19. The vet called. Nimby's blood test showed nothing but a high red cell count. Her chest x-rays showed no abnormalty in the heart. He is keeping her over night and monitoring her and re-assessing in the morning. If she shows no improvement he will do an ultrasound and try to aspirate her lymph nodes in her neck and see if that makes any difference. He said she is resting quite comfortably in her crate (very unusual for Nimby - she HATES the vets office!) Thanks for your wishes Liz
  20. I had to rush Nimby to the vets. Quick prognosis, heart problems & lymphoma. Her breathing is very irregular, she is very weak, can't stand, and her lymph nodes are all swollen. We are waiting for blood test results. My little girl is not well. Please keep her in your thoughts. Liz
  21. Oh how terrible. Although I never met Trish she has been a wonderful support during Geniene's crisis. Hugs, love and prayers to Adrian, her furkids and family. Liz
