I want to sincerely thank all of you for all your heartfelt messages for the loss of my wonderful boy - Max. I brought home his remains today....he is home....and I am at peace.

Hard for me to write this...my Max is gone. He had such terrible struggles over the weekend trying to just walk or stand up and I worked tirelessly with T Touch Massage and some basic physical therapy in efforts to help him. His endless spirit shines on forever in my heart. Godspeed my big beautiful handsome boy! Love you Max!

My new Greyhound, Gracie, really ate the poop when I first got her. And it was really frustrating to find the right methods to stop this behavior. Another Greyhound friend shared an article from the Whole Dog Journal - Eeek! Don't Eat That! Dealing with dogs with pica or coprophagia - from December 2006. She also shared with me that she gave her Greyhounds digestive enzymes. I started Gracie on (human kind) Papaya Enzymes (1 tab a day), and I saw positive results in about 2-3 weeks. I also went outside with her and positively praised her when she pooped and gave her some yummy treats to lure her away from it. Gracie also has a stool cup in her muzzle and wears it when I cannot be outside with her. Gracie sometimes eats my other Greyhound's poop - so the vet said to give him the enzymes also - that it would not hurt him. With all the methods I tried from the article and my friend's advice, I feel like I have Gracie's poop eating licked to about 95% now. Paula, I am so sorry about your Stoney. It's very hard to write this reply to you after reading your touching story of your very special boy - and losing my special Sarah not that long ago. I too, know how losing such a special dog leaves such a hole in your heart that you feel will never heal. I remember how excited you were when you posted how Stoney won the fun run! YOu were so proud of your boy! And it was double joy for you when he won the very next year! Those are extra special moments for you to hold on to Forever! I am so glad you got to celebrate Stoney's 10th Birthday with him and how he enjoyed the special toy you got him! The pictures you posted said it all....he was having a ball with his new toy! Thank you for sharing your very special memories of Stoney and the wonderful photo you posted of him. I love his erect, tall ears and the gentle look on his face. I am so touched by all you who offer your support to me. I find comfort in your kind words. My sweet Sarah will live forever in my heart. Today, we picked up Sarah's ashes. They presented me with a cast of her pawprint in the shape of a heart. I thought that was so appropriate - SArah is my heartdog forever. In certain ways, I feel comforted that Sarah is home now. I hold all my beautiful memories of Sarah close to me. Thank you everyone - I appreciate it.

I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all your kind words, thoughts, and prayers. I miss my sweet little girl so much, but I know I did the right thing to let her go and not let her suffer. I promised her 8 months ago when she was so sick then, that I would not be selfish - I would let her go. We had a glorious 8 extra months together. Now my heart hurts so deeply missing all the silly things she did. Sarah brought such joy in my life. I feel so lucky I was the one to adopt her and give her a forever home. Thank you all for caring. This is the hardest message I have ever had to write. We helped our sweet little Sarah to the bridge this morning. I gently held her in my arms and stroked her and we told her how much we loved her and what a perfect dog she was. Our Sarah left so swiftly, she was gone in seconds. We are in shock and overwhelmed with such sadness over losing her so suddenly. We battled to keep her fever down all thru the night and morning. We just can't believe she is gone! She has left a huge hole in our hearts. She was truly our heart dog forever. There is a deafening silence in our house now. Poor Max has been looking everywhere for Sarah. Ken & Pam, I am so sorry to hear about your sweet Allie and losing 3 so close together. I hope you got my email message on the TLC List. Sending you my sympathies and sending special prayers for you. We recently found out our sweet little Sarah - who just turned 8 in March has 3 sizeable growths. One is on her pancreas, one on her adreanal gland and one in her abdomin. I thank God for every day I have with her. Thinking of you! Godspeed Allie!
