  1. zola will hate you for telling me to starve her. thanks everyone!
  2. About two weeks ago, Zola developed explosive diarrhea. She is normally a strong eater with a strong stomach so i was quite surprised. her diet is homecooked meats, rice and veggies with bone meal and vitamins, and has not changed in a while. After a few days of her having runny, mucus-y feces, I took her to the vet. They automatically put her on a 5-day course of a broad-spectrum antibiotic and ran a fecal exam (no parasites found). 1 week later, her punny is still like soft-serve (ick). Should I be concerned (given that her pre-incident poo was generally well formed and regular), and if so, what do I do next? Thanks! Vanitha

  7. Oh Dee. I know it was so hard but you were so good with her today, so full of love for her. You put her needs above your own and no matter how much it hurts, please remember that you loved her enough to let her go. She is pain-free and waiting to sass you again. It's only those of us left behind who bear the burden of hurt. Your family and friends will help you bear that burden by reminding you of all the shining moments you had with Pammy. I myself remember best her barking at me through the garden fence--you, I know you. Come here, now! Hugs for all your family, furry and not.

I am so very sorry for your loss. It is hard enough when it's a disease that you prepare for. When it's an accident, it's that much harder to say goodbye. You and yours are in my thoughts.
  16. what a terrible terrible accident.
  17. We lost our corgi, Syndey, to lymphoma last weekend. He was our heart dog and though i feel bad to say it, sometimes even having my hound here doesn't help. I miss him so much, and as hard a time I am having with this, my mother is more heart-broken than I. We love you so much, Sydney. I don't know what there is after death, but I hope with every part of my soul that we will see you again someday. We are so lucky to have been a part of your life. I doubt I will ever meet a dog like you in my lifetime.
  18. So sorry to hear about your beautiful girl. My deepest sympathies.
  19. Zola never used to bark but recently has started barking when she wants to play.
