  1. Chocolate dipped Peeps..? now THAT's out of line. those must have been the ones that burned the most when they had the fire at the Peeps factory a few years back. The whole town smelled like Smores! (no, that didn't really happen)
  2. Thanks for the update. He's cute as ever!
  3. Great pic, and only coincidental that the thread I read just before this one was calling for a Peep Show!
  4. Someone at work shared that there is a new variety of peeps that would probably be popular with the hounds! Smoked Salmon flavor.. .. Yech, I know (I'd still try them ) but Stanley is a big fan of seafood...he'd approve.
  5. Channeling Minnie Pearl right there. Howwww DEEEEEEEE!
  6. I have no recommendations but must express how much I love the video and those photos....especially the first one with the side/stink-eye
  7. Yea, most likely.... My kids have pointed out to me, that it's a 'thing' on Youtube for people to post "reaction videos". Some YouTubers do a lot more reacting (pausing, commentary, etc) than others.
  8. Oh thanks for posting this. I often take a look at ON Demand episodes of this show....will make a point to check this one out! Thanks
  9. I think the combination animal print on the hat's band matching with Rocket's own natural animal print (his brindling), plus his facial expression (stinkeye + not-quite-derp-tongue) puts him over the top. But they're all awesome
  10. Yes, that's the scream all right, and you are correct, I stepped on his toe in the street once, drawing blood (he was attempting zoomies in the middle of the street and stepped right into my path unexpectedly) and he barely noticed. Some friends, no fenced yards...there were meetups in the Boston area 20-ish years ago that were announced on GT, but with a lot fewer greys in the area these days, that doesnt' seem to be happening anymore.
  11. Thanks--yes for some reason Stanley hasn't limped...at all. in any of these instances and only lifted his foot very briefly. We are getting him to limit his zoomies to straight (as possible) path lines!
  12. Add me (actually, add Stanley) to the list of dogs who sleep with their eyes open, have growled while on their bed (for no apparent reason, even if we are completely still and silent at the other end of the room). I agree it is their space for their alone-time. No sofa/human-bed opinion from me--he doesn't get on the sofa or human beds.
  13. The following helped me in the distant past, with a female grey who had plantar warts (not identical to corns, but maybe this could help, and it doesn't involve any anesthetic). Our vet at the time diagnosed plantar warts and suggested we soak Twiggy's toepads in a propylene glycol solution (it now appears to be available to order on internet, but I got mine from a compounding pharmacy by prescription). We soaked her paw twice a day for a few minutes, reciting the dialog from an old tv commercial for dishwasing liquid each time (Madge? it's Palmolive? you're SOAKING in it!). Over time, the skin softened, and walks on pavement resumed without trouble. Since this is a chemical, albeit a mild one, please do ask your vet's opinion before proceeding if you are considering trying this remedy. With your grey already showing sensitivity / allergy to other things I certainly wouldn't want you to try even this topical remedy without professional consultation! Good luck!
  14. Hi everyone, I tried searching for this topic and I learned that toenail injuries are quite common overall, but I wonder if anyone out there has experienced something like this: Stanley (3 years old) plays in the grass, on leash. Runs a few short bursts as I try to keep up with him, he turns around, sometimes does a couple 360s, repeat until we are both panting heavily--mostly me. A few times at some point during the running, he screams bloody murder. Holds his paw up briefly, then is able to put weight on it immediately and walk regularly without limping. We have ruled out him stepping on a sharp object (we checked the ground and his paw each time). There was no entangling with the leash, and I didn't step on his foot. Also, this has happened with different feet. Both front and rear feet, so to me that rules out a recurring injury. When we get home and wipe his feet there is no flinching or sign of any pain or injury, thankfully. We think he must be snagging his toenail on the grass. This has happened about three times since the snow melted, in a public park, and also in my side yard. We will be taking him soon to get his toenails clipped (he's about due for a spa day). I just wonder what else it could be--little shuttle runs like this are the only opportunity he gets to sprint for a few strides, as we have no fenced in yard and the dog parks in the area have short fences (and obnoxious dogs with matching owners). Does this sound familiar to anyone?
