  1. Hi there! I adopted my 3y/o grey, Gary, this past December. The rescue informed me of a previous break, it was repaired, limp was nothing to worry about. My vet and I have both tried to get in contact with them/where they got him from for info, nothing. Last week, he popped what looked to be a blood blister on his leg (there are a few I can see, now that I’ve taken a good look at the leg), it wasn’t healing properly which led us to the pet hospital a few nights ago. They cleaned it out, got us some antibiotics and pain meds, other than wanting to lick the wound, Gary is doing much better from
  2. It was repaired before he was brought to the rescue in late July/early August and they were given minimal information, just that he had antibiotics from the anesthesia. I’m trying to keep calm until we can see the vet. Thank you!

I adopted my boy just over a week ago and he’s doing well, we love him so much. He retired from racing after breaking his leg, the rescue assured me he was okay/healed and wasn’t in pain, etc etc. Things I’ve noticed over the last week include hopping off the hurt leg when he starts to move any faster than a walk (trot, run), he’s constantly licking the leg
  4. We brought our retired racer home just a few days ago, he’s our first greyhound and it’s been a delight watching him explore. I’m struggling with potty outside... we walk for 30 min. and sometimes I will get a poo and pee, sometimes two pees, but poo seems to be the hardest. I’ve read a longer leash may help... today we only pooed once. My biggest concern is that he’s on round of antibiotics and his stool has been loose (vet appt. is upcoming so he has not been tested for hookworm yet). I can sometimes hear his stomach gurgle or he will pass gas and I will make sure to get him outside, but tod
