I do remember getting that message  ^^^^^^^  the first couple of times it happened....

but then I figured out that all I have to do is click on one of the links (ie forums) and I am actually still logged in.

Yes, I have been getting the same error messages as above, but after someone posted this same fix earlier in the thread, when I got "logged out" this morning I went ahead and clicked on a link and it worked, with me ending up magically logged in.  :ding  So, thanks to you both!  :)

  2. I get logged out pretty often, and get an error when I try to log in again - different from the error above.  But even though it says something went wrong I actually do get logged in.  I didn't see this thread until I passed that point, but if it's helpful for me to do anything to document, etc. just let me know.

I'm on Windows10 and using Chrome.

  3. Welcome, and thanks so much for sharing that adorable video - it made my day! :)

I'm sorry for your loss of Brett. Saying goodbye is so very hard.

I'm sure you'll be glad when you are settled in a house and can adopt a grey or two. We had two at a time for most of the time we had greys and I really liked having more than one. Definitely more expensive, but only minimally more work and I was always comforted that they weren't all alone when we weren't at home. Not that they probably cared, but it made me feel better anyway. :P

  4. Oh, I am so sorry. I wondered when bringing this thread back if that were the case, my condolences. I feel like I am in a very similar place that you were, in 2014. It is so difficult to watch them age and winter weather does not help. :(

Please don't worry! I'm glad you found this thread helpful - there was a lot of good information shared here. As you can see, many people have been where you are. It is hard to watch our dogs age, and the cold, snow and ice certainly doesn't help. Best wishes to you and Vinnie :)

  5. Just had to post here as I was surprised to see this thread pop up. We lost Tori later in 2014 at 14 1/2. Reading about the issues we had with her actually made me smile. Such minor problems in the grand scheme to things, and a small price to pay for the love and joy she brought to us! How nice to think of her today, even if it was to be reminded of her peeing and pooping in the house :lol

  6. Welcome back. I remember your screen name from long ago as well :)

I also had a "super senior" who we lost at 14.5 last year. We dealt with many age related issues, including incontinence (mostly) and hind-end weakness (not nearly as big of a deal, but necessitated altered sleeping arrangements toward the end). It's hard when you know that it's a miracle to have even made it this far. When things got difficult for us sometimes, I would remember how many people wished they were in our shoes instead losing their pups much too young. I wish you and Shelby all the best! :)

  7. Our first grey was a bit of a finicky eater and free feeding worked great for him as well. Occasionally one of our cats would take a kibble or 2 but he never minded and they never took very much.

We added a second grey who was a chow hound so the free feeding had to stop - she'd eat both of their meals before you could turn around! Poor Shadow had to learn to eat all at once or wait until the next meal. Luckily, he adjusted fine.
