Any experience with Sileo gel to calm greys during fireworks?

My 8 yr old female had a 16 value on recent blood work. What does this number mean? Are there ways to improve this number w/o changing her raw diet?

Also had a bad experience with carprofen. Lost 2 greys to osteo. My deepest sympathies.

I have recently been told by a nutritionist that salmon oil & actually all fish have mercury levels that are toxic to dogs and people and to limit intake to once a week or even every other week. Is this true? Also she said coconut oil clogs dog's bile ducts leading to liver damage. Is the verdict in on these oils?

Are dogs infected with ehrlichia every truly cured? If I adopt a dog who had this infection, could it spread to my other Grey's? What about transmission to people especially immunosuppressive and frail elderly? Is there on-going need for treatment throughout the dog's life?

Hi, My female Grace,died 11-30 from saddle thrombosis. She was 11. Her companion my 7 yr old male has not been the same since. He eats well, sleeps well,poos well, etc. However, he just mopes around the house. Does not want to get in my van. He perks up when his female friends -a Malinois and a red heeler-visit. Then back to moping around. Do I need to get a greyhound cougar for him? I would like to get another older female grey or lurcher but I'm still grieving my girl. Help!

Stretch's vet thinks he has a cyst on his spine. Because he has had bleeding problems in the past the vet said cyst could not be removed and gave him an injection. I don't know of what but hope to find out. Does this sound right, as far as it goes? Will get more info.

Er vet took X-ray and saw a dark area on front leg. Said he thought osteo was likely. Stretch will see his own vet Monday. I'll keep everyone posted. Pray for Stretch.

My vet has given my extras to a pet adopter who cannot afford them. If you cannot locate someone in need maybe your vet can.

My neighbor has a grey who is using both back legs as one. Should she take him to er or can she wait until Monday and go to her own vet?

Hi, Very sad to report that my beautiful girl died on Nov. 30. The large blood clot she had moved and blocked blood flow to her femoral arteries. Excruciating pain. I gave her morphine which helped immediately. We got to her vet and that was that.
