  2. **Hugs** Glad she came through surgery all right Few things are as cute (Or is it pathetic?) as a dog stoned on anesthetic.
  3. Hello Hello from Manitoba, Canada I'm relatively new here. Just me and my whippet cross, Aaerro, until I can get a retired racing greyhound in 4-5 years Welcome to the forum !!

  5. Welcome back I'm new around here. Hope to see more of you and the hounds
  6. I, too, have heard that cranberry juice makes the lining of the bladder less 'sticky' for problematic bacteria. And good to know that there's a brand of cranberry pills out there that can be used on dogs
  7. **Huge Hugs** So sorry to hear about your Fid and your mom May they be happy wherever they are now

  15. Where are Hook worms usually found in North America? Can you get them up north? The only dog I've had with worms was my Aaerro, and she was infested with them as a puppy about 8 and a half years ago when she was shipped up from Kansas City, Missouri. Other than that I've been lucky. None of the family dogs have had them. Where can you get food grade DE, other than ordering it off the 'net? The stuff for pools is poisonous to consume, if I remember right.
  16. Thank you everyone Seems that Greyhounds are on par with whippets and larger breeds of dog when it comes to longevity, as what many of you have said. My Family whippets lived to be 12 and a bit (cancer), 13 and a bit (Stroke that made family decide to PTS) and almost 14 (Old age). Who knows how long my whippet cross will live
  17. I've come to this thread late. So grateful for excellent news! And aren't doped up dogs the most pathetic things ever to see? I mean that in the most polite, 'aint that cute' way, LOL.
  18. Well, whuddya know! I know what to do with my pumpkins now Thanks for the ideas, guys!
  19. Yaaay for progress What kind of high value treats are you using? They might work on my brat, LOL
